Over the past 12 months Maverick has been investing in its organisation to improve the companies ability to provide an excellent service. These investments have included the recruitment of 8 new staff members and headline initiatives such as a 40 strong VIP dealer trip to InfoComm Las Vegas.

Maverick continues to invest with some notable additions to the team, including five talented and experienced staff from the AV industry. Kate Moores has started as Maverick Marketing Manager having previously worked at Steljes. Chris Mellowship has joined from Midwich, and will take up the position of Business Manager for Projector & Large Format Displays. Matt Keen has joined from BrightStar and will take up the role of Maverick's Sales Manager, and the new Northern Field Sales Manager is Jamie Hardiment, an experienced AV sales person, who previously worked at Elementary and Bullet Point.

Sid Stanley, General Manager is excited about the expansion and Maverick's continual commitment to recruiting knowledgeable staff from within the AV industry. "We are determined to offer our customers an excellent service. As a major distributor we want to offer the best stock, at the best price, with attractive and innovative credit terms. But at the heart of our business are the skills and experience of our people who provide the services and shape our customer experiences, and therefore we are very pleased to be attracting talented and knowledgeable people who will bring a wealth of experience into the business."

Finally, highlighting Maverick Europe's successful expansion and the outstanding growth of its Hotlamps business over the past year, Maverick are pleased to announce a key appointment which will help provide new opportunities, strategies, and programs to support continued momentum and growth within Europe.

Waseem Ghos has joined the Maverick European team as Business Manager for Hotlamps Europe. Having worked at Maverick previously, before it's acquisition by Tech Data and more recently at Professional Lamps, one of Maverick's main competitors, he brings with him a wealth of AV and more specifically lamp experience that will help accelerate the Hotlamps business to meet its strategic and fiscal goals.

David Johnson, General Manager Maverick Europe says - "Such a key appointment highlights our commitment to achieving our growth plans, we need to have talented people on board. Instrumental to this growth is the strength and focus of the management team in key areas of the business. Waseem's appointment to the Maverick team allows me time to focus on other strategic areas of the business knowing Hotlamps is in safe hands."

Waseem says - "I have been well aware of the increasing impact Hotlamps is having in the lamp market, having recently worked for one of its major competitors and since speaking with them in relation to this appointment I am now enlightened as to their ambitious plans for expansion and growth which ultimately I want to be a part of. This opportunity allows me the scope to use the skills and knowledge I have built up to help make Hotlamps into the largest global projector lamps specialist. "

Johnson further adds, "With Hotlamps now live in 14 countries offering best prices, best stock availability and best logistics, we need talent like Was to make sure we are utilising our ever increasing scale to maintain our unique offering to our resellers, so that we continue as their lamp partner of choice.
